PingPong
Greetings and thanks in advance for yor time and effort. While observing the Logic System Performance Window in action I notice the following: 1. My Reference Manual shows a picture of the SPW with only 1 CPU bar. My SPW shows 2 CPU bars. Is that in reference to my dual processors? 2. If the CPU portion of the SPW is showing both processors then, why don't they rise and fall in tandem (together). One side will be higher than the other. Play the song again and they (at times) will reverse there pattern. How come? Logic does take advantage of both processors doesn't it? As I use my G4 Dual 533 Audio (Not graphic) w/1.5 Gigs of Ram for both Logic (OSX 3.9) and Pro Tools (OS9.2), each on a separate drive, I am attempting to see how much more CPU power I am enjoying with Logic as Pro Tools only takes advantage of 1 processor. Thanx, Ping 8)
David Nahmani
1. Yes 2. OS X and Logic decide how to divide the tasks in between both processors.
