proqwer
I am very very new to logic. I've came from FL studio which is apothecary easier than logic to learn. In FL studio I could different soundfonts that have good quality sounds. So my question is, is there something I can download to expand my sounds other than the ones that came with logic? el-bo
hi have you really gone through logics instruments, thoroughly, yet ??? there are tons of presets in each of the synths that come with logic....more than that, there are the channel strip settings which aren't just 'fillers', but offer some great instrument/effects combinations maybe you could tell us what it is, soundwise , that you are looking for....expansion for logic doesn't really exist but there are tons of softsynths and sample libraries available from other companies that will work great within logic to expand your existing soundset what sounds do you want ?? el-bo
well....each synth/instrument has presets....you know this much, right ??? well.....channel strips are what you see as vertical lanes in the mixer and left of the arrange page....these are what house your instruments and effects (as well as volume, pan, routing etc) there are pre-configured combinations of preset and fx chains to make extra sounds......they are accessible via the first drop-down at the top of the channel, as well as the library to the right (if selected) there are some great fx chains also available for audio tracks check the manual for more info working with instruments and effects>working with channel strip configurations have fun
Nublu
Hi proqwer Like el-bo said, Logic (especially from version 7 on) has some really nice instruments, effects, and tools. Starting on page 261 of the main manual you will see how to find and use an instrument or effect. Then, the Instruments manual is over 500 pages and the effects manual is over 250 pages. There's a lot of goodness in them pages! It gets even better when one actually plays 'em. I hope you enjoy it all. and, Keep coming to this forum and keep asking questions. Read the forum guidelines, and maybe answer a few questions for others. The guidelines can be found here... and in my experience, they really work. http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=29410
