RobbinsEgg Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 Is there an external host app, or maybe an environment setup that can "split" multi instrument plug-in channels into single plug-ins for Inst channels? Dabbled in Plogue Bidule and VE Pro, but my savvy ain't that savvy for this idea. I'd love to get rid of the Midi track/Aux channel redundancy. Any thoughts? fader8 Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 That's easy. Don't run them as multi-instruments. Load a separate instance for each instrument. If the code is well written, instances will share code and memory to some degree, so it's less of a performance hit. That's what the EXS does, for example. Omnisphere instances are greedy, Stylus RMX would need a multi to have mixing options, Kontakt 4 i think is pretty good, anyone know of any comparisons done lately?
