p.policar
Hey all, Following the advice by a member here I just purchased a Presonus Firestudio Mobile interface! (My first interface - newb into this Logic/Mainstage) I'm a real beginner at this stuff - traditionally a just a keyboardist/pianist. Now everything is all good except, there's a really annoying hiss! I'm using a 2008 Macbook Pro (the one right before the unibody design) with the Presonus Firestudio Mobile interface. Now, when I unplug the power from the macbook, the hiss gets alot less audible (it's still there, just at a lower pitch and volume). So I'm guessing it has something to do with the mac's power supply? Which is really weird since I thought the whole reason for getting an external interface is to get it as far away from the computer's noisy environment as possible?? So why is it still affected?? BLAH! As I mentioned earlier, I am a beginner and don't have a clue on when to even begin to solve this problem! I tried using the AC adapter on the presonus, instead of just using bus power - didn't work. Anyone have any idea on what to do? Thank you guys heaps in advance and I look forward to spending some time around here as I start to dive into the more high-tech side of music!!
