Thanks for listening guys! I will definately look into soundcloud. Haven't used it much but let me try to get some stuff up there! Before I do, you can always check my myspace acct if you want to hear more of my content I've created! Thanks.

@scott, I'm very glad you liked it! Stay tuned for more of these videos and all kinds of other cool videos relating to Logic & Music on my youtube page.

@Kiddie, I just looked on soundcloud. What kind of membership do you recommend I get? I just want the minimal to be able to post my tracks on it and have a profile. Thanks man!

How can somebody use your music for a dj set for example?Do you share or sell your music?

I'm in the process of getting my demo songs mastered (6 total) right now. I will be selling demo CDs shortly thereafter. however, I'd be more than happy to just hook you up with the mastered versions if you're interested (once they are finished).

Nice job!

I'm assuming there was a bit of work actually recording that with automation and parameter changes?

Your live version seems like it would be much easier to change the settings on the fly.... how did it go when you actually recorded it in Logic? Did you just perform it the same and trigger the changes to automation?

Very cool!

@Sopranos thanks for listening! I actually recorded the whole song in real time

(live). Everything I'm doing on screen is exactly what you hear. All the software instrument tracks were being bussed to a record enabled audio track.

I'll be making many more videos (one this week). I'm gonna be using some new techniques and ideas. Stay tuned!

I understand you have the tracks laid out in Logic already and you were playing with the parameters live..... but how were the parameters being recorded as you were changing them live - automation?

Thanks!

Sorry for being delayed in my response... It's been kinda hectic!

@Sopranos- I basically had 3 midi tracks that were looped through the entire arrangement. I would control when each of these was muted/ played.

As for the automation, I had each of the 3 track's outputs sent through a bus which ended up on Aux strip 1. I Bussed the output of Aux 1 to bus 2. I created a record enabled audio track and set its input to BUS 2 (instead of input 1 or input 2 which would generally be for recording voice and guitar or something).

It's sounds complicated but you could recreate it & see what it does. It basically RECORDS actuall real time AUDIO of whatever I do on those three MIDI tracks. I've never seen it done but I thought it would be cool.

@Grouchstep- right click Logic Pro in the applications folder on your computer, go to>Show package contents>Resources>Images>Icons

In here you'll find all of Logic's Icons. they are all .png files with 128x128 dimensions. If you find any cool icons that fit this standard you can dump them into this folder and just name them. You'll notice that Logic doesn't use consecutive numbers for naming the icons. For example, it jumps from 40 to 48. Look and See where Logic has skipped numbers and name your new icon one of these "missing" numbers.

Shut down and restart Logic to see the new icons appear in your icon menu.

thanks for watching! I've mapped out a much cooler performance that I'll be filimng as soon as I get my brother's HD camera. I'll be triggering custom loops, playing piano etc... It's pretty fun. Stay tuned!
