Reggaeman
Hello! Could you help me with the midi note editing. I just can't find a way how to change the midi notes velocity simultaneously. I have a kick drum track which notes has different velocities and I want them all equal. So far I have edited each midi notes individually with hyper editor. It's so frustrating... I know this must be very simple and said in the manual, but just can't find it. Thanks alot! -beginner-
Luun
The method that works best for me in the piano roll is to have the velocity tool assigned to the right mouse button, so whenever i click+hold and drag a note I change the velocity of the note. You can also select multiple notes and do the same. In your situation however, I think the answer you're looking for is to make all the midi notes having the same velocity, am I right? If so, you could (from the piano roll window) go to Functions/Transform/Fixed Velocity. There you can choose the velocity you want all the selected notes to have. Hope this helps
Jordi Torres
Select the notes you want to have the same velocity and choose one of these methods.... -In the piano roll editor, click on one of the notes with the velocity tool and then drag up or down while holding down shift and option. -In the event list, drag up or down on the Val column with the pointer tool while holding down shift and option. -Use the fixed velocity transform window preset. fader8
-In the piano roll editor, click on one of the notes with the velocity tool and then drag up or down while holding down shift and option. It works like this in the Score editor, too.

Doesn't seem to be working since Logic Pro X 10.2.3. Is there a solution?

There was a very useful method to make velocities equal in Piano Roll: Select needed notes and (while holding shift and option) move the velocity slider (on the left side of the Piano Roll). It's gone now. Or is it?

10pa
Yes. 10.2.3 - 'Set to same velocity' shortcut not working? Thanks, Eric. It's sad, though. Should I also send the bug report to add more weight to the problem?
Eric Cardenas
Yes please do! I found it to be a pretty intuitive workflow.
