Make instrument monophonic with out the option?

How can I make an instrument monophonic when it doesn't have the option to be monophonic?

 

Does the Ultrabeat have an option to be monophonic?

Not sure if this is exactly what you want but UB can be monophonic. Open a multi output version of UB and set the sounds to one of the mono outputs ( they start at output 17 IIRC).

You can do the same kind of thing with other SW instruments as Alan suggested for Ultrabeat. Just Bus the Output to an Aux Channel Strip and set the Aux to Mono.

Do you mean monophonic or monaural? Monophonic is when a synth can only produce one voice at a time, ie as opposed to polyphonic. Monaural is single channel as opposed to stereo, but has nothing to do with voice limits.

Assign the desired voices to the same "hi-hat" group so they can choke each other:
