Kent Sandvik Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Hi, last afternoon I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to tame electro drum sounds, especially the cymbals and hi-hats tend to sound very harsh in the final mix (Ultrabeat.) I ended up doing an odd combination of EQ:ing out the harsh parts (usually around 2-3k), the new Microwarmer from PSP Audio and the Logic Exciter plug-in to put back some sparkle. Anyway, always interested in hearing other interesting ways to get analogu/tube-style warmth into harsh drum sounds, especially if there's a solution using mostly Logic plug-ins. Thx.
