74Rickenbacker
When I open a song/project in Logic it seems to read all the files that were ever recorded in the project even though I'm not using the files anymore. I've recorded 50+ tracks, but only end up using 20 or so for the final mix. Not sure if this bogs down performance or not, but I was wondering... Does anyone know how to clean things up and keep Logic from taking inventory of all the other unused files? I've tried deleting the tracks out of the audio window and deleting all unused files in the project manager, still seems to take inventory of the unused files when opening the song? Thanks! David Nahmani
Make sure you don't keep any unwanted muted Audio Regions in the Arrange window. Then go to the Audio Window and choose Edit > Select Unused. To clear them from the song session, press delete and then save. To erase them from your hard drive altogether, hold down both Control and Delete, then save.
