I don't understand why they don't help at all? They should show you how the arpeggio works.

 

Otherwise open your online manual from Logic's help menu and search for Arpeggio. . . . ok I did it for you: it's p228.

ok I can create the appreggio but how do I wire it to get it to trigger the instrument?

You assign it to a track, and wire it into the instrument you're using.

 

That way the MIDI Regions, or the chords you play live, go directly to the Arp object, then to the Instrument.

I hope I did it right because it's working, I just created an arp wired it to an instrument track in the mixer than dragged an arp into the arrange window. It seems to be working.
