Staleyolk
Hi i feel like I maybe need to improve my organization of audio files. I'm still a fairly new user to logic so im just trying to pick up some good habits from more experienced users. So here it goes. This is a screenshot of the audio bin from my latest project. This project i gave the working title of "clean" so as a default i've noticed it names every audio file as the title of the project followed by _1#101 , _1#01.1 and so on. UNLESS i bounce a region in place then it seems to give the audio file the name of the track as opposed to the project. So should i rename these audio files to things like guitar lead, bridge synth pad, Rhythm Guitar left and so on? -Matthew

Usually you could rename tracks and regions and that's all that you need in the UI.
David Nahmani
You shouldn't have to bounce in place. By default, when you record audio on a track, Logic gives it the name of the track you're recording on, not the name of the project. I don't understand why you're not getting that behavior. CCTMusic
You shouldn't have to bounce in place. By default, when you record audio on a track, Logic gives it the name of the track you're recording on, not the name of the project. I don't understand why you're not getting that behavior. This behaviour changed with v 9.1.1 Now, when recording without naming a track, the file is named according to the Project name, the Track number and the "take". If the track is named, the file is given the Track name and the 'take' number. HTH CCT

Thanks CCT, didn't know that. So then the solution for Staleyolk would be to name his tracks before he starts recording on them.
