sal paradise
Hi, Looking for a trouble shoot. I am on Logic 8. Running a pre intel mactower on osx.10.4.11 For some reason I get no sound from the EVB3. Any of the other software instruments work fine. It only seems to be the EVB3. Thanks
beej
The EVB3 responds by default on MIDI channels 1, 2, and 3 for each of it's three organ manuals. If you send it MIDI info on channel 7, it won't do anything. Send it MIDI on MIDI channel 1.
sal paradise
Thanks for your quick reply. MIDI is completely out of my knowledge base. To be clear I am not using an external midi device. Just selecting a software instrument. Only place I could find any midi channels is when I chose an external midi for a new track. But that does not seem to be something for software inst. Looked around in Midi preferences and any midi tabs I could find but could not find anything indicating channels. My Noobness is strong. You need to set the controller to transmit on MIDI channel 1.

If notes are being sent to an instrument (which is the only way they play!), those notes are being sent on a MIDI channel. It should be 1, however you are generating them. sal paradise
So how do you access midi channels to reassign them?
Scott Jackson
So how do you access midi channels to reassign them? Again, what MIDI keyboard/controller are you using? I assume you are using a MIDI keyboard because EVB3 works with the CapsLock keyboard.
