Death by "Not enough memory to create clipboard/Undo!

Hi, I am repeatedly getting a crash and the message "Not enough memory clipboard/Undo!" "Should never Happen" Abort. I have to force quit.

I searched the forum and found folk with similar issues around a year ago, who were told by David (Admin) that this was a beta only message and that it was a bug. Well it's back. It now occurs any time I try to adjust anything on the mixer. I did all the stuff suggested in the old thread but no joy and I've a client due in 3 hours. My colleague added the 9.1.3 update but the issue has been happening before and since.

Hope someone can help...

Mmm, you probably already use Logic in 64 bit, right...? Do you monitor RAM, CPU etc (iStatmenu's or Menumeters)?

Yep, had the same thing a few weeks ago. What solved it: running Logic in 64-bit mode. I thought 64 bit was not for me as I have only 4 GB RAM, but I get no more memory low mesgs since I switched- you do get lots more RAM paging (not to be confused with rampaging) though, when the amount of free RAM starts getting below 800 MB or so. What that means is that loading things can take a long time, and the beloved beachball will make patience-testing appearances more often.

But, no more of these:

Hi, thanks for the reply, not currently in 64-bit mode, and I must say since finding a workaround I have had crash free mixing. These problems do arise during region heavy projects usually so I may look into adapting my workflow to keep projects a bit more streamlined. I am apprehensive re 64-bit as I see a lot of the rainbow wheel when saving and loading as it is, but I expect I'll try it when the clipboard bug comes back!

Thanks again mate
