Problems with electronic drums hi hat sync

Hi, im tryna do a midi recording, im using an alesis DM10 as my e drum, and i wanted to use drum sound from my logic pro 9, i got everything all figured out, like i know how to change the sound and etc..but when i got to my hi hat, it just dont sound right, when i close my hi hat with my foot, it still making an open sound, and its not making any down pedal sound..meaning its not working normally. When i check with the hi hat settings on my alesis module and line it out to a speaker, it sounds okay, the hi hat sound realistic, but i just cant get it on logic...maybe there's some settings i need to do? im a newbie in the whole logic midi thing...please help me out..
