Logic Tutorials

Recommended Posts

I have just got my self a copy of Logic Pro 8. I have used Logic before, but only bits and bobs of it.

I am wondering if anyone knows any basic tutorial books/videos that will help a beginner on his way. This may include the very basics (software layout explanation etc).

Thank you in advance.

Hello gedeye,

I would recommend the following book:

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Pro-Training-Logic-Express/dp/0321502922/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1289594770&sr=8-3

Not just because I wrote it, but also because I truly believe it's the best way to get started in Logic! And that way if it raises any questions, you know where to find me.

David's book is awesome !!!

A nice way to get down and dirty in Logic, great overview.

As a former Logic instructor, his book seemed to really help the students get a grasp on Logic pretty quickly.

Hope this helps.

Hope I'm not embarrassing you David.

If it's a book you're looking for, you'll find nothing better than David's. If it's Video Tutorials, i can't recommend the www.macprovideo.com stuff highly enough. Cheap and fantastic. Rare combo

+1

Logic Book = David's book. Hands down best book to get going for Logic.

Logic videos = www.macprovideo.com Again, hands down the best video tutorials for Logic beginner and advanced.

I rather video instructions. I'm a visual person and pictures just don't cut it for me. Lynda.com & AskVideo.com have some really through Logic tutorials in my opinions. And it's worth more of your money than a book that you have to wait for in the mail. Also, there are tons of tips and tutorials on youtube and if you search enough you can find out all of the basics and some advanced stuff just from youtube.

Another recommendation of David's book.

It's the absolute best book to work through when beginning to learn about Logic.

As for video tutorials, I've viewed much of the MacProVide offerings, but prefer the depth of content offered by Groove 3.

http://www.groove3.com/str/logic-training/

The Logic 9 Explained is simply the best comprehensive video introduction to L9 available consisting of all new Logic 9 content.

The book Going Pro with Logic 9 Pro by Jay Asher is a valuable read once up and running with Logic.
