Arming tracks in Ableton Live Rewired into Mainstage?

Hi there,

If I have multiple tracks in Ableton Live that I wish to Rewire into Mainstage (for live keyboard sounds, not playback of any recordings), should I be arming them all?

If I have 2 tracks in Live and set them to output to Rewire 3/4 and 5/6, then setup patches in Mainstage that use these external instruments, this works if they are both armed in Live... BUT my CPU usage is very high and I get cut-outs in the sound.

If I only arm the sound in Live that I need to use at the time, my CPU usage is fine, BUT I have to change sounds in both Mainstage AND Live.

(This is on an i7 MBP with 4GB RAM.)

 

What is the best way to do this?
