fbkaiser
I extracted transients from an audio Apple Loop. Then applied it to a kit from a third party. It don't groove like the original. Has anyone else experienced this? ty, Kaiser
David Nahmani
No, it works fine here. You could do a quick little test with a MIDI region that has notes every 1/8th or every 1/16th notes for example, apply the groove to that region with the Event List open to see if the notes change positions. mpmusicny
Also, don't forget that groove isn't just the placement of the beats, also the relative volumes, the weight of one beat to the next. . . quantization is only half the story. fbkaiser
David I tried your solution---the notes did move a bit but still did not feel like the original. I must say though that this is the first time out a few audio-to-midi other experiences that this has happened. ty to all. Kaiser
