skylerdavid
I've done a few cues in the past with Logic, and if i need a beat to hit something in a video, I usually just manually change the tempo until it hits the point in the video file i need it to, without slowing/speeding the tempo too much from my original idea. Then my buddy was telling me about a feature in Digital Performer that lets him find a hit point in the video, creates the downbeat on that marker, and lets him know the tempo that is needed to achieve that hit (ie, it may be something like 112.53, etc). So the tempo aligns perfectly with the video. Is there a feature like this in Logic, or something similar? I looked in the Tempo Operations, and that seems to deal with curves. And Beat Mapping doesn't exactly seem like what i want either. Suggestions?

skylerdavid
David, this worked great! At first I couldn't figure out what to do once I made a grid mark, then when i held it it said 'set to beat..' and i naturally used control to connect it to the downbeat. Perfect tempo sync Thanks again
