Lower1
Hi there. Is there a way that you can import apple loops without them automatically syncing to the tempo of your track? when i preview samples in finder i often find a sound i like but then when i import it to the track find that the tempo changes (to sync to that of the track) and i loose the original sound i heard. If the chosen sample gives the tempo in the name then i have been setting the tempo of the track to that of the sample, bouncing the sound and then speeding up the tempo of the track to what it was originally... Just having trouble with the ones i dont know the tempo of....... if anyone gets what Im on about and nos a way around this your help would be much appreciated. thanks
Anonymph
I myself am not sure if there is an option to disable that for an apple loop, but there very well may be. But if not, you could always just convert the apple loop sample to a wav file or something which wouldn't carry any bpm data. Then it shouldn't automatically sync to tempo when you drag it to track. David Nahmani
In the Arrange area, select the loop. Then at the top of the Inspector, deselect "Follow Tempo".
David Nahmani
Another possibility if the file is not an Apple Loop is that its sample rate is different from that of the project. Project > Settings > Audio. You can check the sample rate of your file in the Bin.
