Nice_Nigel
Hi everyone, As i've mentioned on here before, the recording studio where I work primarily runs Pro Tools (with a Pro Tools interface) but also has Logic 9 installed. As I only have Logic 9 on my home setup it makes sense to use that at the studio for certain projects too. Unfortunately however I've run into a number of problems. For example I can only get 8 audio inputs to function in Logic which is not ideal for recording larger bands. Also when I bounce down the tracks, it plays them back in real time while it bounces them (which takes a lot longer than my home set up). Also when I'm running larger sessions I often get error messages and the audio I've just recorded disappears. Restarting the computer fixes this but you don't get the missing audio back. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve these problems (or any other associated with running Logic with Pro Tools interface) or can point me in the direction of some good information then I'd be most grateful. Getting Logic working well at the studio would make my life so much easier. Thanks, Nige
David Nahmani
Nige, what driver do you use, Core Audio, DTDM...? You can see that in Logic's audio preferences. Also what version of PT? What hardware? Etc..
Nice_Nigel
I am using the core audio driver (to be honest I didn't realize that there was a choice). It's Pro Tools HD2 with a Digidesign 192 audio interface.
CCTMusic
Hi Nigel... are you running Logic Express 8 as your signature suggests, or Logic 9 as the subject line suggests? Are you running Logic Pro or Express? If I remember correctly, there is no TDM support with Express???? Assuming that you are on Pro 9, this might shed some extra light: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Logic_Pro_9_TDM_Guide.pdf HTH CCT
Nice_Nigel
Sorry, I should have explained this more clearly, I run Logic Express 8 at home (soon to be upgraded to 9) and Logic Pro 9 in the studio. Thanks for the linky, I'll check it out. Nige Hi Nigel... are you running Logic Express 8 as your signature suggests, or Logic 9 as the subject line suggests? Are you running Logic Pro or Express?
