Roy John
I am currently having some major problems with my mac G5, it is not booting correctly and wont go past the blue screen, it is being looked at by a apple technician on Sunday. This isn't the first time its happened and i have a feeling i am going to have to replace the HD. I did an archive and install feature and managed to get my mac to load, but i tried to load Logic and nothing happened. I had to do this before but Logic worked. If i do have to get a new hardrive and have to reinstall Logic, i only have the Logic 7 install disks, and i am currently using Logic 8.0.2. Will it be possible for me to upgrade again without having to pay for the upgrade ? Do you think this is the best option ? Thanks very much Kind Regards Roy

Roy John
I must have downloaded the upgrade, as i still have the Logic 8.0.2 dmg. file on my HD, but thats just an upgrade from the full version of Logic

You would download an UpDATE (8.0.2) for Logic 8 via Software Update but where are your original Logic 8 UpGRADE discs? I'm pretty sure, though I started on Logic 8, that UpGRADING from Logic 7 to Logic 8 you would have had to purchase the discs as opposed to downloading the software. Correct me if I'm wrong other LPH.com members since I started on Logic 8.
Roy John
Cheers Scott, i cant seem to find any Logic 8 disks, i would have remember if i had. Actually now i think about it, Logic 8 was when they got rid of the dongle from Logic 7,....... i have just had a rake and i have found the Logic Studio Box, which means the disks must be some where. I hope. i have no idea where they are, i will need to have a hunt ! Thanks for your help Scott Roy
