Macbook Air 2010 caps-lock keyboard issue

Can the fully loaded (4GB ram, 2.1GHZ processor, 256 Gig SSD) Macbook Air 13 inch laptop run Logic Pro well?

Hi everyone,

 

I just picked up logic pro and I'm using it on a macbook air 13.3 2.1Ghz 2010 laptop. When using the caps-lock keyboard (no midi keyboard yet) I get missing notes/triggers when recording. When I just play the keyboard by itself it's fine but once I start to record the triggers miss. Have you ever seen this before? Is it a performance issue with the macbook air keyboard or laptop itself? Or does the caps-lock keyboard have issues when recording?
