Bates
Hi guys, i'm new here so bare with me.... I'm trying to load vengeance samples into the ESX24. Basically I have a range of kickdrums which I load into the ESX24 and then I make them as a group. They are assigned to the keyboard C-1 till ... If I load these in the ESX24 i can play them, with each keyboard key giving me a different kick. Now my problem is, when I do the same thing for claps or hihats and I strike a key, the drum, hihat and clap is played at the same time. Eventhough I have saved each instrument as a group and loaded ex. 'Vengeance Claps' into the sampler. I know the keyrange of all samples is the same for kick, hihats and claps but isn't it supposed to play ONLY the claps if I select them from the ESX24 menu? Been looking for a solution for days, so please help me out if you know how to.... Thanks Bates
ski
You need to make sure that each sample's (i.e., each zone's) key limits aren't the same as any other. Making groups won't help you with this. Actually, forget about groups for a minute, as they're only confusing the issue. As you're laying out your samples, look at the zone graphics above the keyboard to ensure that each zone (sample) occupies a unique key. If you see overlapping squares in that display then that'll explain why you're having the problem.
