Logic not recording MIDI keyboard commands

I am trying to record a synth with a LFO. I assigned the LFO to a knob on my m-audio controller. when I press record and play along the LFO is working then when I play it back it has no change on each note. It just stays where the knob was left off. How do I record the midi track how it actually sounds when I am playing it?

To record an assigned knob, you need to record track automation. Set the automation mode for that track to Latch (or Touch) and press play (or record if you're also recording MIDI notes or Audio).
