velanche
Hello: I have Logic Pro 9, and using a Keystation Pro 88. In Logic, I'm trying to assign each fader on my keyboard to a volume track. I would click on the Learn button in Logic's Controller Assignments window, then click on a fader volume in Logic's Mixer window. When I start to move a fader, they act a bit erratically. For instance, the first two volumes slides all the way to negative infinity when I slide up, and to 6.0 when I slide down. At that point, I've decided it was best to halt until I can get a handle on the issue. Apparently, this is an issue that's happened with other users. I'm hoping that the solution is fairly simple. It's great that I've finally am able to harness controlling my environment, but it'll be even nicer to get over those bumps. Thanks for reading; look forward to your reply. velanche
I had an added issue to the above, but I figured that one out. Still could use some help on the original problem though. Thanks!
Eriksimon
I had an added issue to the above, but I figured that one out. Still could use some help on the original problem though. Thanks! Go to the Controller Assignments window (cmd-K) and for every "reversed" parameter, put a "-" (minus) before the Multiply factor. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4148/5206048975_35191c9bd6.jpg
velanche
Thank you, very, very much! That, indeed, fixed it. The graphic was very helpful as there were some drop-down items that also needed changing. Now they all slide properly. It's a beautiful thing! Again, many thanks! V. shivermetimbers
tsk... tsk... tsk!!! velanche? Did you know there is a manual available for your keyboard? See if the section about drawbar mode will help.
velanche
Well Shivers, I"m not quite at genius level just yet as far as MIDI and all the intricacies of my keyboard. I'm still a newbie on that front, but I'm working on it. Thanks for the info on the drawbar mode; just perused it in the advanced manual. Just may be useful one day, but thankfully Eriksimon's reply did the job. Best Wishes, V.

My intent was to have you check your manual to see if your kb was set in a drawbar mode. Maybe it isn't in drawbar mode but the fader should normally go from 0 to 127, not the other way around. Fix the problem at the source otherwise you will really mess things up down the line.
