nolan65
Having just moved from Sonar a few months back, I am having some really basic issues. Audio Editing, I can delete a breath on a Vocal track or squeak on a string, but the track shifts to fill the empty space...What to do? Lets say I want to copy the last word in a vocal line and put it on another track to add delay or echo on it. What is the process?
triplets
For the fist one looks like you have the Snap function (top right of Arrange window) not set on Smart. For the second one there's two ways: Use the scissor tool to cut on desired spot, hold down Option and drag to desired track Use the marque tool to paint the desired range, hold down Option and drag to desired track Difference? With the marquee tool you're not cutting the original region.

Make sure the Drag Mode isn't set to one of the Shuffle Modes.
Andyreww
or squeak on a string If the squeaks are at the beginning/end of a region you could also look at using fades (In/X-Fades) to remove them. There's plenty of videos on YouTube for Audio editing.... Andy
