aj_quiksg
Does anyone else have this problem with ultrabeat where you try and load in different samples to create your own kits, and it's all fine and dandy for about 2 or 3 triggers and then you get this high pitched, clicking, messy "scare the **** out of you" sound and the sample in the dialogue box is all distorted and looks like a bloody barcode I've heard before that someone else's ultrabeat was routing it through a different output and doubling the signal or something making that sound but my signal flow looks all good, it is the file itself that appears to crumble...any help woiuld be appreciated as I cant stand hearing that noise one more time for fear i'll go deaf
David Nahmani
Never had that problem myself - is that when previewing the sample in the Finder browser you get after clicking on "No Sample Loaded"?
aj_quiksg
It's right after you've chosen the sample from the finder browser and it's been loaded into the dialogue box, right after that it will be okay for a couple triggers or until you move the sample or edit one of the parameters and then BAM its all gone to crap

David Nahmani
Thanks. Well I'm not sure what the problem is... I wonder if it could be somehow tied to your core audio driver. One thing to try is to switch to built-in output and see if you can still reproduce the problem? What audio interface are you using right now? aj_quiksg
I don't know much about the output driver or interfaces in general but i know that it is set to built in output and I'm running 10.6.5 intel core i3 with 8GB ram. I've got a mackie 1202-VLZ3 for input but I'm just using sounds from the computer so it should just be a problem with the output driver i imagine?
