hamdog
i'm playing with this band for the first time tonight using mainstage 1.0.2. it's an eight piece ska band, so i'm only playing piano, organ and a couple of other synths. i'll be using my duet fr output, because my music shop didn't have a stereo mini to two xlrs cable. i'm just asking for any advice. should i run a cleaning app like yasu or onyx? i do it about once a month anyway. should i restart the computer? if it's been running fine should i just not f*ck with it? any help or horror stories appreciated. shaneblyth
good luck nothing except a clean boot and load make sure nothing is running in background and if it is kill it. id suggest you update to version 2 sometime. it always pays to load as little as possible , anything you wont use delete it from the concert. it also good to use the least gear possible pity you couldn't get to use the inbuilt audio output. its just one less hing to go wrong. let u all know how it goes and how you set your concert up

hamdog
Turn wifi off is always important too thanks for your suggestions, shaneblyth. the concert went on without a hitch. i did remember to turn airport off, and also time machine as i have read in some threads. as i said before, i wasn't doing anything complicated, but still, you never know. it seems that my computer works great when i am alone, but then i try to show someone how great my computer is and it starts acting all strange. anyway, it was a success, and i do plan on upgrading to MS2 when i get back to chicago next year. do you recommend the upgrade because it is generally more stable or just because of the new features? thanks again
