Pitch samples to make a melody with

Hi there..

 

Does anyone know how to pitch vocal samples like for ex. Headhunterz?

 

I got 2 youtube videos added here for an example of what i want to do with it.

 

1:

at 1min. 07 sec.

 

or 2:

at 1min. 40 sec

 

Ive been trying everything even change tempo but it doesnt go higher then 999bpm.

 

Hope some one can help me...

you just need to loop a tiny section of it and place it on a sampler..... the clever bit it hearing it change from a vocal to a tiny loop - an easy way is if you have a cdj you can set the loop time's gradually smaller until you get a little drill like sample... not too sure how id do it just using logic stuff though

Dom Kane explains how he achieves this very effect in his tutorial included on the DVD that comes with Computer Music (issue 159, December 2010), he used Ableton.
