forsak3n
Hey, Just recorded some vocals and using melodyne bridge to clean it up. The problem is when I load up Melodyne and play back the audio, melodyne reads the rhythm fine but the notes stay on the same pitch. How can i fix this one? Mojave
Can you elaborate a bit further, is that the latest version Melodyne? Editor only or Studio and Editor? You instanciated Melodyne and chose re-wire to bridge?, got the audio transferred but after doing the corrections, the DAW (logic) isn't reading the changes which are in your plug in on the channel strip? FAQ from Melodyne's website How do I get the audio material I have edited using Melodyne back into the host DAW? When Melodyne editor, Melodyne assistant or Melodyne essential RTAS are running as a plug-in in your DAW, or when Melodyne studio is running in ReWire Client Mode or else integrated into the DAW using the MelodyneBridge, their audio material is available in the DAW's mixer. Use the 'Render' function (sometimes called 'Bounce' or 'Audio Mixdown') to create a new audio file of the signal coming from Melodyne. A distinction has to be made here between offline and real-time rendering. The real-time version always works but is slow. Whether or not the offline variation is available depends upon the plug-in implementation of the DAW. We recommend, however, the use of the real-time version. Mojave
One last thing, when Melodyne detects the audio you feed it, it creates a .mdd file. Did you look to see that this file is with your track? Most likely the .mdd file is with the project file where your audio is kept unless you specify to store it separately with the detected audio. Have you tried openIng Melodyne itself and using the Melody Manager to find your vocal track? If so you can simply open it up, print the track after all your corrections and import the corrected track back into Logic for now forgoing the insert track, mute that track, put it to sleep for now and get on with the project if you have sucsess. forsak3n
Hey thanks for the reply. I have Melodyne3 Studio Bridge v3.2.2.2 I load up Melodyne as in insert in logic. Hit 'Transfer' with the menu that comes up. I play the audio through. When I stop the play back, Melodyne loads up the the audio. This is the problem. Melodyne doesn't read what the notes are. It loads up all the notes as C# (like below). When I play it back in logic, the melody stays the same. http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/8338/screenshot20101210at248.png So basically I'm trying to figure out how I can get Melodyne to read the notes im hitting so I can correct them. Thanks.
Mojave
Open your Melodyne menu, select detection. It's probably on auto. Try using Polyphonic. If this is just the vocals it should show polyphonic. If there are other instruments mixed in, I think it will be hard to do. What do you have presently in the detection settings? I noticed there was no detection window open regarding your detection type.
