Orrinslips123
Ok. I've tried freezing tracks. I've cleaned up the project folder. I work on this one project all day and night just fine: adjusting guitars, midi etc. Then when I get to one particular comp to choose some vocal takes, that has 5 takes in it, almost as soon as I touch the comp, logic crashes. Relaunch logic. Work fine on every other track in the project (regardless of whether I've frozen things or unplugged plug-ins, the other tracks are fine.) Then I touch that devil comp, and it crashes. I've actually been working on another vocal comp on another track and its fine. But its crashed literally ten times after touching this one comp...? ? The report says "Thread 0 Crashed" if that helps anyone.
Eriksimon
Update Logic to at least 9.0.2 or, better, to 9.1.3. Don't touch that comp until you do. 8)
Orrinslips123
scratch that apparently it's all comps now.... ALso, I'm using an apogee duet for an interface.
triplets
Update Logic like suggested before. Also, are you saving the project on an external FW drive?
Orrinslips123
and its an external HD but it's USB because I'm using the firewire for my duet...configuration suggestions?
triplets
USB drives are not quick and consistent enough for streaming. Get a FW800 drive and daisy chain the Duet to that.
Orrinslips123
awesome..I'll try that...in the meantime...every other project works fine, and even in this one everything but the take folders works beautifully...why would that be? Orrinslips123
how would I go about the daisy chaining? I only have one fire wire...
Scott Jackson
how would I go about the daisy chaining? I only have one fire wire... You need an external HD with two or more FW ports.
