venusian
Hello. I use Fireface 800 in my production. If I bounce my track into mp3 using builtin audio interface will I have the same result or quality is strongly dependent on A/D D/A converters? Eriksimon
Hello. I use Fireface 800 in my production. If I bounce my track into mp3 using builtin audio interface will I have the same result or quality is strongly dependent on A/D D/A converters? They play NO roll in bouncing (well, only if you use outboard hardware synths whose audio is routed back into the Mac via your Fireface.)
ski
What Eric said. Bouncing is internal to your computer. The interface plays no role. Also, bouncing to MP3 inherently degrades the quality of your audio unless you use very high bit rates (like 256 or 320). So if you're worried about quality, either bounce to aiff or wav, or, use a high bit rate for your MP3 bounces.
involver
Since MP3 is a lossy format (information is lost) it will degrade the quality of your audio - even at a high bitrate. Use WAV or AIFF for best quality. Obviously MP3 is useful for emailing etc. as it has a smaller filesize.
ski
Yeah, true enough about even the highest bit rates being lossy.
