cubbychowder
Hey everyone, I've been making music since I was a junior in highschool, so it's been a solid 5 years now. Started out with Garageband and eventually upgraded to Logic. I now bounce around between Logic and Reason to get all the sounds I want. I pretty much learned everything on my own, although I hope to take some music classes pretty soon. I've made about 60 songs total but I only really share the ones I really like. They're all instrumentals by the way. No lyrics for me I do majority of my music via MIDI keyboard, but I occasionally record me playing acoustic guitar and mandolin as well. If you would like to check out some of my music, you can go to my music page on myspace. It has around 25ish songs on there. Let me know what you guys think, I'm dying for some feedback! www.myspace.com/heebeejeebeats

bjornio
yeah I like it too. Has a playful feel to it. like Skeptical Hippo. Would sound great with a female vocal on it. Reminds me of the band 'the bird and the bee'. They have a quirky playful sound going on. That song reminds me of them a little bit. I would probably tweak the kick on that too so it wasn't in my face....just throwing my 2cents in haha.... but that's just my opinion. Smart spice reminds me of the bird and the bee as well. 3 toilets sounded like a old western type pop song. Im sure I saw some rappers out playing with tumbleweed! Musically, Foxwell & goose nibbles & orange squares is the direction I like because it sounds really interesting and quirky. You should start a band because your stuff has serious potential. People would like it I think. I mean, I do

I realize my music isn't for everyone, sometimes I even think to myself "damn, my music sounds kinda fruity and kiddish." But I like to keep things interesting and wierd. I think what may be a heavy influence to my wierd sounds is that I don't have any musical background, I taught myself how to play keyboard and I just kinda hit some keys until something sounds cool haha. Every song I make pretty much comes randomly, because I dont really know any set chord progressions, I dont even know the names of any chords haha im definitely still a noob in a sense. I just go off what sounds cool, which I guess is what music is essentially all about. Anyways, I really enjoyed reading your comment. I appreciate the kind words! For anyone interested: If you enjoy listening to my music and would like to download them so you can put them on your iPod or whatever, I now have a lot of my songs up on SoundCloud. You can download them all for free there. Just go to www.soundcloud.com and search "Heebeejeebeats"
