jkrisanda
Just purchased CME 80 UF w/firewire expansion port and can't get it to work. Two issues: 1. Set-up manual says no drivers are needed with OSX using the Firewire expansion card and I see the card listed on the I/O for Audio in system preferences, but can't get a signal to show when load up a software instrument in Logic? 2. Am using speaker system output from MacBook Pro headphone outs. Can I do this and how is it set-up ... or ... do I need to use the audio outputs on the CME port ? Thanx for your help in advance, J.R. Show up where? If there's no meters dancing in Logic, no interface will make any sound. I don't think there's anything wrong with the audio part of the interface, the problem appears to be MIDI. Does it show in the MIDI window in Audio MIDI Setup? 2. Am using speaker system output from MacBook Pro headphone outs. Well, that's no good, IF you want to use the CME as audio out. Otherwise, it is fine too. Just make sure you use the Audio INPUTS from the CME - IF that's what you want... Can I do this and how is it set-up ... or ... do I need to use the audio outputs on the CME port ? Of course you do. IF they are of better quality than the built in audio of the Macbook.
