helt
I can't get logic 9 (master) to rewire to Live 8 suite (slave) I get the following message everytime: The ReWire master application has detected a different version of Live than the one last used. Please quit both the current ReWire master application and Live, and then launch Live once as a standalone ap...plication so that it can install its ReWire engine. I have tired everything. deleting logic and live preferences also deleting rewire engine. I have even reinstalled live but nothing. There is also very little on the forums about this topic. Can anybody tell me more about this? Best Thijs

Best Thijs The first thing to try is to create a fresh user account on your Mac (tell us if you need the procedure), log in to that and try to set it up from there. You will get default prefs for all your apps, so you may have to check them in both Logic and Live and set them up correctly. The message you get most likely originates somewhere from your User prefs/folder, and this is the way to confirm or falsify that. Later!
helt
Hey Erik, Thnx for the reply . I created a new user acount. Started logic wich did the AU scan. Than closed logic and started live that scanned the library and needed validation wich i skipped. Closed live. Started logic and then started live but still the same error message! Does this tell you by any menas what is wrong? Do you yourself use logic and live rewired? Thnx in advance

Eriksimon
Het zou kunnen in 't Nederlands, maar dat vind ik onbeleefd, eigenlijk... Yes, we could use Dutch, but I think that's a bit inconsiderate to other users... No, I don't use Live. I have used rewiring though. All we know now is that the error does not originate from your old user account (=preferences), so we can rule that out. Have you actually also done what the message says:"launch Live once as a standalone application so that it can install its ReWire engine. " I'ld say you need the ReWire engine... helt
That would be a bit inconsiderate indeed. Yes the firts thing i did was to launch live as a standalone application so that it could install it's rewire engine. It did not help obvious I am sure that it's a small issue or something i overlook all the time
Eriksimon
Thijs, it might help to post your question on the Ableton forum too, as well as on the Apple/Logic discussion board.
greatkeso
FOR PEOPLE OF THE FUTURE WITH THIS PROBLEM, reinstalling Ableton solved it. Updating Ableton should also solve it according to the internet.
