ryan904
I passed the Level One Logic Certification test today (go me!) and was hoping to go onto Level Two. However, i recall reading somewhere that the Logic 301 course was required to take the Level Two exam, and it is very inconvenient and pricey for me to take this course. Can i self-study as i did with Level One and still take the exam? Thanks in advance.
David Nahmani
The workshop is no longer required. You can now challenge the level 2 test alone without taking a workshop. However it can be quite challenging - the level 2 test is definitely one step above the level 1 test. Make sure you're well prepared!
ryan904
Thanks David, I don't plan on taking it before a few months preparation anyways, but its nice to know that I am eligible.
GCProductions
how do you take those anyways? just curious
David Nahmani
how do you take those anyways? just curious You go to an exam session at an Apple Authorized Training Center. Then you take an online test. The test is about 70 questions. Most of them are multiple choice, some of them show you a screenshot of the interface and ask you where you would click to perform a certain operation. So it's $150 to attempt each test right? Is there a course to prep you for the level 2 certification? Is level 2 as high as certification goes? Loaded question, I know
David Nahmani
Yes, each attempt is $150 - unless you're registered in one of our Apple Certification classes, in which case the cost of the test is included in the registration fee. The course to prepare for level 2 certification is the "Logic Pro 9 Advanced Techniques 301" workshop. The level 2 certification is the equivalent of the "Logic Studio Master Pro" certification, and it is the highest non-Trainer certification. Then you can take a level 1 Trainer certification, then level 2 Trainer certification, at which point you are a "Logic Studio Master Trainer". ruari
I think the closest you'll get to a mock test would be the exam preparation guide. The questions on the actual test are different to these but if you can answer these you will have a chance. http://training.apple.com/pdf/Logic9LvlTwo-exam-prep.pdf
