jdmartin
This has happened occasionally and I can't figure out why. In the arrange window, an audio track with automated volumes suddenly has the automation lines pasted onto the wave form in standard waveform viewing and I can move the automation lines manually. When I switch to automation viewing, the display still looks the same. But it says "display off." If I switch to display on and choose volume, then all I get is a flat line without volume changes. triplets
That looks like Hyper Draw. The real track automation is the one you select on the track itself or you hit "A", then you see the parameter selection, which defaults to Volume. Alan Shields
I'm with triplets on this one. That little 7 in the bottom left corner of each region suggests that you're looking at Region Based Automation AKA midi (CC #7 in this case). It's best not to have RBA and TBA fighting with each other on the same parameter but it's very easy to convert one into the other. Track > Track Automation and near the bottom of the menu you have all the options for moving one type of automation to the other. HTH, Alan. I probably hit a keystroke by mistake that converted TBA to RBA. One further question: once I've replaced RBA with TBA, can I get the wave form to revert to the normal view? Jordi Torres
One further question: once I've replaced RBA with TBA, can I get the wave form to revert to the normal view? Select the region(s), go to the View menu in the Arrange and select Hyper Draw > Off. J.
Alan Shields
Your welcome jdmartin, sorry for taking so long to get back to you but jordito (helpful as ever) has it covered. Best of luck. Alan.
