xenon20
Hi I am struggling to understand how to clean up the project folder. I have cleared up the project itself in logic with edit > select unused in the audio bin > edit > delete. In the project folder I had the following folders: Audio Files Fade Files Project File Backups Sampler Instruments Undo Data Various new saves (*_01 *_02 etc etc) I went to File > Project > Clean up and let it do its thing. It came up with a list of things which I selected ok. It moved them to trash. Now when I go into the project folder, there is still lots of unused stuff in the audio files folder and undo data folder, and it deleted all the fade files and the project file backups folder and contents to the trash. How do I ensure that only the required files are left within the project folder? Thanks Xenon20

I have stopped caring about project folder sizes and duplicate audio files a long time ago...
Eriksimon
How do I ensure that only the required files are left within the project folder One initial step I miss here: in Logic, go to the audio Bin, choose select unused from the local Edit menu, hit delete. xenon20
Hi Thanks for your replys. I am aware that storage space is not too expensive nowadays, but I think it's nice to filter out all the junk so it's easier if you need to revisit the project later. It's possible that the clean up didn't work properly because I haven't got to grips with the project folder / save setup yet, and the project was saved in several locations with different names (a right mess!) but I consolidated all the files (audio, undo data etc etc) into the one project folder where the project is currently saved, and then ran the clean up procedure. (I now know the right way to keep the project folder organised). The audio bin now only contains the files that are used in the project but the project folder still contains lots of unused stuff (and half of the stuff that was in there is now in the trash). I read that the clean up function was supposed to clear up the unused files in the project folder but it hasn't seemed to do what I was expecting. Can anyone shed any light as to why this is? Thanks in advance Xenon20
