ryan904
I've heard (and seen on Youtube) that Logic 9 will run fine on a Power PC Mac, however i believe with version 9.1 and beyond (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the coding for the application is Intel only. Therefore, you would need to find an earlier copy of Logic 9 before the 9.1 update for it to run on your Power PC.
Jope
(...) tell me it isn't so..? It isn't so. See ski talking about "beloved moderators" using LP9 on a G5 Quad (you have to scroll down a bit). I think OS X 5.8 and LP 9.02 is a combination that works. Two things to considerate: If you like your system and it runs fine, be happy for "It's not the software that makes the musician" (ski). If you want to keep up with the times or someone expects you to meet the newest standards, buy a new machine and do so every other year. Be aware nowadays no one wants to sell a product that can be used endlessly. It's up to you to subvert this attempt. I admit I changed to Intel, but I did because my good old G5 Quad was the opposite to "mobile".
ski
Yes, you can run up to version 9.0.2 on a PPC with no problem.
