romVsen
How to use the same remote fader to manage several Logic parameters It's known that Logic (through Controller Assignment) allows to link remote controllers to manage Logic parameters. The problem is: I have MIDI keyboard with only one fader. I use it to manage output volume. I'd like to use it also to manage volume of the currently selected track (for example by pressing key on computer keyboard). The question: Is it possible? Thanx, Roman By the way: Happy NY!!! Jordi Torres
Logic's channel strip faders respond to MIDI controller 7 (volume). You could: -Program the slider on your keyboard to send controller 7, and use the arrow keys to jump from track to track (or channel strip to channel strip if the mixer has key focus). -Find out what controller number the slider is already sending (by looking at the MIDI Activity Display in the Transport bar), and using a transformer in the environment to convert that controller to controller 7. PS: You loose fader resolution by controlling your faders this way. J.
romVsen
Thanx for reply, but it seems I should write my question more clear. I have my slider on midi keyboard perfectly control volume on my output channel. Everything is OK. Now I'd like to find the solution for controlling volume of the selected channel by THE SAME SLIDER AND KEY on the computer keyboard (for example COMMAND key). So, 1. if I move slider I control volume of the output channel 2. if I move slider AND COMMAND key pressed I control volume of the selected channel How to implement it? Thanx, Roman
David Nahmani
You can't. The computer keyboard is one device, your MIDI keyboard is an entirely different device, they don't send the same type of messages etc.
