perplex
Ableton Live's Beat repeat plugin is pretty awesome, for DJing. But I think it holds a place in sequencing also. Is there anything like this for Logic (even audio plugins/vst) Basically ableton's beat repeat plugin is you simply grab a piece of audio and make it repeat according to your gate setting. And it is awesome. PLEASE OH PLEASE TELL ME LOGIC HAS SOMETHING LIKE THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
johnnnnnnyy
Learn how to chop audio by hand and you can do the exact same thing, you can also get more creative than preprogramed plugs. Logic doesnt have such a tool, but there are much better (than Abletons) third party plugs that do the same and much much more, Sugar bytes Effectrix being one: http://www.sugar-bytes.de/content/products/Effectrix/index.php

"Pre-programmed"..? That's a limited and uncreative view of Beat Repeat, I think. I enjoy putting a variety of Beat Repeats across various tracks/busses/masters with different settings and playing them live in real time - great fun, and Logic can't really do anything similar. AudioDamage have Replicant which is pretty good and will work in Logic...

I prefer writing these digital cuts in time with my tracks, they then become unique the possibilities are endless!
