chooch
got my axe-fx today.played around with some tunes i had recorded.i noticed i had no level in my channel strip.i went into preferences>audio and enabled software monitoring.then the axe-fx sound became thinner. any ideas why this would happen? David Nahmani
Probably because you're getting some phasing from dual monitoring. When software monitoring is off, you can hear your instrument? Then when you turn on software monitoring you're monitoring the same signal twice. That can result in a thinner sound when both signal are not exactly in sync. First thing you should do is figure out how to turn off the monitoring totally while "software monitoring" is off. Then you can turn software monitoring back on and you should have a normal sound. chooch
when i turn off software monitoring in logic,my guitar tone sound right. turned on sounds higher pitched. when off,i cannot control the track volume.i can still record but then there is no way of adjusting my volume within the song or for a bounce.
