Rydizzle
Hey guys I've got a basic question that I didn't have any luck finding on here. I just finished a number of mixes and I am ready to send them off to mastering. I bounced them all down at the same sample rate and bit depth that they were recorded at making sure to not normalize or apply and dithering, all is good. Now I need to send them the mastering engineer, he recomended just burning them as a data cd and mailing it. I am new to macs so I'm not sure what program I should use to do this because I obviousley don't want to use itunes. So what do I use? Also I was under the impression that it's better to send a mix without burning it, so instead use some type of online program like dropbox or just send a usb drive with the mixes on it? should I even bring that up? I am all out of questions, thanks guys
David Nahmani
data CD or DVDs is the standard delivery format. Just pop in a blank CD, and in your finder, drag and drop your files onto the CD and click burn.

No. Zeroes and ones are zeroes and ones. The result would be the same, so if the engineer requests a data CD, give him a data CD.
