jonnik
Hi All Please, suggest good tutorials on modern professional mixing and mastering rock music. Are there such in the internet (no matter free or paid ones)?

jonnik
Thanks. So it is only about mastering. What about mixing? And are there any pro vodeo tutorial. It would be great if there is one for mixing, mastering in Logic.
Eriksimon
http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorials/logic-application ...is a very good one. Not by my own experience (I don't use vitu's), but positive feedback I've seen the past two years, all over the Logic forums. But Rounik Music, who works for them, can tell you more about those. Rounik? Also download the PDF from Holger Lagerfeldt here: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=57055
ScottB601
I second that. MacProVideo is outstanding. I've had personal conversations with them on the phone and they are overwhelmingly positive and helpful. Plus, the videos are absolutey fantastic. They have Logic 403, 404, and 405 which are specifically about mixing. 405 is entitled "confessions of a drum and bass producer" and is excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough. jonnik
I've watched video tutorials at MacProVideo about mastering in Logic, also mixing R&B (because they don't have one specifically for rock, the only additional one is for electronic music). The mastering video seemed to me kind of outdated and very basic. The mixing R&B video didn't actually give me anything new and some specific "how to" knowledge not even some tips and tricks. I loved Logic TNTs though. But I'm looking for something different. Are there any more tutorials somewhere?
widdershins
I also thought the Mastering vids were a bit basic. Some nice tips, but the bulk of it was stuff I already knew. I guess it's hard for them to pitch it so it works for everybody - there's so many different levels of expertise. I suppose if they missed the basic stuff out, some people would complain.
