David Nahmani Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 Cubase or Pro Tools are both good choices but quite different programs. Spend some time studying their features on the Avid and Steinberg websites. I would say Pro Tools is probably the better choice if you're going to record a lot of live bands, live orchestra etc.. not playing to a click, Cubase is probably the better choice if you're going to compose music using software instruments and record one or two instruments here and there.
