logic for the pc?

Cubase or Pro Tools are both good choices but quite different programs. Spend some time studying their features on the Avid and Steinberg websites. I would say Pro Tools is probably the better choice if you're going to record a lot of live bands, live orchestra etc.. not playing to a click, Cubase is probably the better choice if you're going to compose music using software instruments and record one or two instruments here and there.
