Hey guys been looking all over for this technique and cant really find anything on how to make this sweep/riser in logic. If there's anyway you can tell me what plug ins to use and how to make this happen and a easy and step by step process to get this exact sound in logic that would be great! Ive got to examples here from 3 videos on youtube where ive heard the sound twice in these tracks. Video 1, http://www.youtube.com/user/feddelegrand?blend=1&ob=4 starts at 49 secs in the video. video 2 OaaVAvA0ybE this starts 3:15 into it. Last http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9hW7D3_7io starts at 2:07. Anyways if you guys can help me out here that would be great been trying to do this for a long time! thanks hope to hear back soon. :D

That's like the pitch in an oscillator being turned up mixed with some white noise type of sound increasing in amplitude..

2 option's -

1 : buy a sample pack with some fx, most of these guy's probably use premade fx anyway, it's fine

2 ; do it your self - but before you do i'm presuming you understand modulations, how to route them, and side chaining,? there the basic's for this effect.

you want to side chain the synth / synth running the fx to the kick... modulate the pitch by an lfo set to however many bar's you want it and play with the amount it increase's over time.... add white noise to fill out more

if you don't get this you'l probably need to read up on

- side chaining

- setting modulations on whatever synth you use (in the es2 it'l be the matrix editor)

that's about it really... then mess about with de-tuneing, extra chorus fx, ring mod's, delay's etc etc after.

have fun

Nice thanks guys! Last night i was messing around with the es1 and sylenth1 with wave forums and different osc's like you said and got pretty close to the sound. Also i cant really find any good sample packs with good long sweeps besides vengeance and i already have those do you recommend any others?
