Why would I get an extra region slice when recording audio?

Not sure how to describe this, but when I am recording audio (when not loop recording) I am getting a small extra region at the end of the main region. So when the take is bad, I delete, but a little extra slice of the region remains. So I have to then select that small slice and delete again (this time it asks me if I really want to delete). Time consuming.

Most of the time it happens when I record right up to the next region where I am punching out, and I can see the small extra slice overlap with the neighboring region.

Any ideas.

You might have changed the 'Overlap' setting to 'No Overlap'.

 

Other than that I can't really think of anything that would do that. Do you perhaps have a screenshot of it?

Same as in the other thread karp, those settings only affect regions you drag, not new recordings.

 

Eric, I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you post a screenshot? Is this a new issue for you or has it always behaved like that?

Here is a movie of it happening. It does it on the 3rd or 4th try.

You can see me delete the region, and then have to delete the extra slice.

This has been happening for a while, but most the time I record using takes folders.

Looks like a bug to me...why don't you just lasso-select both of them and delete?
