David Nahmani
EXS24, Ultrabeat.. if those don't do the trick for you, what type of drums are you looking for specifically?

David Nahmani
Yeah start with those and see how you like them. If you don't, there's all sort of drum libraries out there. Drumkit from hell, BFD, Superior drummer, EZdrummer, etc...

sts54
I second Battery. Freaking awesome drum machine!
el-bo
I second Battery. Freaking awesome drum machine! i love battery for synthetic stuff, but for 'real' drums they have very limited velocity layers and 'round robin' samples; makes everything sound very unnatural and doesn't allow for the dynamics that a real drummer could give
ruari
…they have very limited velocity layers and 'round robin' samples… You can set up velocity layers & round robin cycling in Battery, I've not felt limited by it up to now. Other than Ultrabeat (& a mountain of Kontakt & EXS drum kits) I've never used any of the other dedicated drum programs so I don't really know what I'm missing out on. Charlemagne
Addictive Drums for "real" drums. Geist for programming.
