martypants
can anyone help? whenever i try to type a value into a parameter on any plug in the current screenset will jump to another window instead. i recently had to reinstall logic back on to my hard drive (after some iphone/itunes issues) and i was wondering if i need to change something simple in my preferences. also, my screensets will not lock/unlock using shift-L. I just hear the apple error "bong" instead. there are probably a few more strange key command errors on the way that have not surfaced yet! triplets
Try reinitializing all key commands. Option-K brings up the key command window.

redlogic
Does it happen on all Projects? Does it happen in Logic's Empty Project?
martypants
It happens on all projects, past, present and new. i have also noticed it only happens when i type the 1 key, which is kinda crucial as the value i need to set the parameter to starts with a

camillo jr
Can't speak to your lock/unlock screenset problem but the first thing in your post really sounds like your key commands are set up so that the numeric pad calls up screensets! Go into your key commands window and type "recall screenset". What do you see in the list?
martypants
have a look.
triplets
Interesting that you're missing the Delete button. Anyway, did you try going to Options->Presets->US? Because on a laptop you don't have numeric keypad.
