rhetttr0
When I first got logic, it never did this. But now whenever I transpose or stretch/shrink a sample, the result sounds like the original with the the modification layered over it. I'd rather not re-install logic in hopes of resetting the issue. Is there a specific setting I may have accidentally tweaked?
Matt Mayfield
Fortunately or unfortunately, it's near-certainly not something that reinstalling Logic would fix. Are you working with very short segments of audio? I've encountered this problem before under those circumstances. Can you offer any other details? rhetttr0
Thanks for the response. I usually use it on vocals for single words that are too long, but I tested it on a 7 second phrase and had the same effect. I wish I could think of additional details that might be relevant. In case its relevant, heres my system specs: MacBook Pro Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: MBP53.00AC.B03 SMC Version (system): 1.48f2 Also, on a closer look, I was incorrect in saying it sounds like the original sample with the modified sample layered over it, because when I sped up the longer sample both "voices" were the same speed. There is simply a mysterious doubling effect.
David Nahmani
Are you stretching a mono or stereo file?
rhetttr0
I've just been applying it to mono files. I haven't tried it on a stereo file since I did a remix months ago but I remember it worked at the time.
